KG Ranch, owned by Paul & Kaye Doddridge, and managed by Greg Strohecker, held their 9th Annual Production Sale on December 2, at the ranch outside of Three Forks, MT. This was easily the highest quality, most uniform, stoutest set of bulls that this outfit has ever sold. The registered and commercial heifers were also the best set for this operation as well. Winter-time conditions with lots of snow and cold were in effect the day of the sale, yet a big crowd full of many repeat buyers and many new faces was on the seats as the first bull walked into the ring.

Topping the sale was KG Premonition 4041, a January 23, 2004, son of LCC Premonition out of a Vermilion JL Right Time bred dam. BW 90 Adj.205 793 NR 122 Adj.365 1335 YR 121 weighing 1900 BW+3.9 WW+47 M+28 YW+88. He sold for $6000 to Rice Ranches, Harrision, MT.
Rice Ranches also selected the next high-selling bull at $5750. He was KG Freightliner 4415, a March 1, 2004, son of KG Freightliner out of a Vermilion JL Right Time bred dam. BW 84 NR 113 YR 120 weighing 1825 SC 42 BW+1.4 WW+45 M+19 YW+92.

The next top bull was KG Freightliner 4449, a March 3, 2004, son also by KG Freightliner out of a Sitz Ambush bred dam. BW 86 NR 106 YR 111 weighing 1775 SC 41 BW+3.0 WW+42 M+20 YW+87. He sold for $5500 to Mulvey Gulch Ranch, Boulder, MT.
Rice Ranches, Harrision, MT, then selected another high-selling bull at $5250. He was KG 5556 Traveler 4262, a February 14, 2004, son of Sitz Traveler 5556, out of a Vermilion JL Right Time bred dam. BW 96 NR 121 YR 123 weighing 1955 SC 40 BW+4.2 WW+51 M+20 YW+100.
Two other top bulls both left the ring at $5000 each. One was a son of KG Freightliner and sold to CA Ranch, Three Forks, MT; and the other was a son of KG Traveler 8180 8171 and sold to Mulvey Gulch Ranch, Boulder, MT.
The high-selling registered heifer of the sale was KG Classy Lady 4385, a February 29, 2004, daughter of Sitz Timeline out of a Sitz Rainmaker bred dam. BW 80 NR 113 YR 113 BW+1.9 WW+45 M+20 YW+79. Bred to GDAR New Design 4340, she sold for $4000 to Diane Rice, Harrison, MT.
One other top registered bred heifer was a daughter of Premonition and bred to SydGen Future Direction. She sold for $3250 to Chad Denowh, Sidney, MT.
The high-selling draft of commercial bred heifers saw 19 head sell for $1575 to R Bar N Ranch, Deer Lodge, MT. Two other top drafts both left the ring at $1550 each. One saw 40 head sell to Simons Ranch, Roy, MT; and the other saw 40 head sell to T Bar Ranch, Cardwell, MT.
